19.7x39.4 in ~ Painting, Acrylic
This work is the one that am tsunami the wave. I wanted to express the tear that was occurring after the wave and the death she had sown behind her. Like all those lives that were disappearing. I didn't know how to tear this wave apart; I had an idea to use a plastic film which one wraps the food in and to fold it in folds in all directions to obtain the effect of tearing. I didn't know if this would work. I let the work dry for a week and my heart was beating. It was my first experience of using another material to get influences. The result blew me away, I really got the impact I wanted and from that day on I did all kinds of things depending on what I wanted to do. The ink, the acrylic and a plastic film allowed me to have the canvas this tear of a whole people in its lived. There was also the symbolism of the tints in the pastel, the drying having attenuated the color strangely; which leads me to discover that the substance is organized between them according to the materials present. What delighted me was that I had managed to achieve an effect that was impossible for me to paint. This is what I like about building a perpetual prospecting limitless exploration. When we feel that creation is essential in our life for me it is a breath.
